Club Director (New Tech, Data, & Ethics 2021)

Cameron is passionate about improving people’s lives through Immunology and Neuroscience research, improving our education system, especially for those who have learning differences, as well as spreading youth voice and combining software engineering and art to create interactive art pieces. He graduated with a B.A. in Computer Science and Psychology, a minor in Cognitive Science, and an Ammerman Center for Arts and Technology Scholar Certificate from Connecticut College in 2021. 

Cassandra Scanlon

Cassie is passionate about social justice and empowering children to create change. She graduated with a B.S. in International Relations & Politics and Professional Writing from Carnegie Mellon University in 2020. She is currently pursuing a J.D. with a Health Law Certificate from The University of Pittsburgh School of Law. 

Puru Saxena

Puru is passionate about learning, and using his knowledge in Math, Physics, and Programming. He was recently inspired by the concept of sustainability in different respects. Puru is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from Rutgers University

Chad is passionate about researching and propagating today’s technology to sanctify sustainable and ethically driven practices globally in the future. Chad is currently pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Data Science with a minor in Economics from New York University.

In a world where we increasingly trust machines with our personal information and even our genetic material, the question of how this info is being used is becoming ever increasingly important. In this club, we will explore exciting topics such as how companies like 23 and Me use AI to decode your biological data and the way social media helps law enforcement in identifying suspects. This club will include discussions and fun activities that will boost your critical thinking skills!
